New Town Design Session Open House
In-person July 1, 2021 and online survey through July 8, 2021.
In early July, the community was invited to share their thoughts on the illustrative design concepts for New Town/Columbia—to be part of the design process and give feedback for transformative opportunities in Columbia.
All design concepts found in the survey were based on the feedback heard at the May meetings. The survey showed how these broad concepts could be applied to Village Centers, commercial corridors and employment centers.
The HoCo By Design project team held virtual meetings on May 18 and May 19 to kick off a series of design sessions focused on the New Town/Columbia area. The May meetings covered general design principles and how they contribute to the overall community character and sense of place experienced in the New Town/Columbia area. See the meeting comments in our Comments Log. Read a summary of the May meetings here.
